Salle à manger

« As part of our various architectural projects, we often need to photograph our achievements for our portfolio or publications. Until now, we had always taken care of this task ourselves, trusting that we worked with good quality equipment and had a good understanding of light and space. For our latest project though, we decided to hire a professional photographer, François LeClair. And we had to admit that his pictures were exceptional. The difference in quality was undeniable, especially in terms of lighting and composition. We appreciated taking part in the process. Also, being able to look at the pictures in real time on François' laptop proved very helpful in selecting different points of view and compositions. We will definitely repeat the experience on our next project. »

Montreal Museum of Fine Arts

« During the acquisition of a new pavilion for the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, we asked photographer François LeClair to shoot a series of architectural photographs. The idea was to show the future pavilion's proximity to the other three existing pavilions. After surveying the locations, he suggested taking three pictures showing the neighbouring pavilions from the perspective of the first one's porthole, the second one's columns and the last one's arch. He dealt patiently with the whims of the weather and ambient lighting at dusk to produce exceptionally beautiful images. It was a real pleasure to work with him and his crew. »

Indigo

« When we opened our new INDIGO store on the South shore of Montreal, we hired photographer François LeClair to produce photos of our new facilities. François created very relevant images using both natural and artificial light. It was a great experience to work with him, he has an excellent eye and attention to detail. Subsequently we entered the ICSC 2007 contest and we used the images that Francois produced to convey both the beauty and the practical aspect of the design. We won the award! »

« From models to… chickens, François LeClair meets every challenge with enthusiasm, meticulousness and professionalism. The work atmosphere he creates is pleasant and welcoming, encouraging all participants to give their optimal cooperation - you try to get a feathered newborn baby that doesn't understand French or English to do what you want! This is the reason why I call upon him for most of my projects, as I have done for over 15 years now. I salute his incredible patience, versatility and excellence. »

« I have been working with François LeClair for over 20 years. Above all, I appreciate the professionalism and sense of aesthetics he applies to the kind of creative work required of a professional photographer. In action, he can be both highly versatile and amazingly efficient. Whether he is asked to photograph a company president sitting at his desk in the morning and workers at an assembly line in a badly lit workshop in the afternoon, François always manages to find the right angle and the best light. In other words, he reassures us and the result is always greatly appreciated by everyone. Recently, he created superb photographs to illustrate one of our client's Annual Report. The source has not dried up yet - far from it!  »

« It's not an easy task to express the essence of a creative project through a photograph aimed at the public. François LeClair met the challenge with great success. The whole experience was highly enjoyable. François cares about the subject he is shooting and asks relevant questions. He made sure that he understood my project's vision so that his photograph would reflect it. François and his crew showed great professionalism and interest, making it a most fruitful experience. »
