In 2006, the theme of the annual CAPIC (Canadian Association of Photographers and Illustrators in Communication) exhibition was « The black box ».
The theme offered limitless possibility. I chose to do a self-portrait of a black box. So I hid a digital camera in a black cardboard box and I created a lens by piercing a tiny hole in the lens cap of the camera. Then I placed the camera in front of the mirror on and old dresser that I found at the Bonheur d'occasion auberge in St-Henri.
During the gallery opening, the photographers were invited to present their portfolios and a self-portrait. My portfolio-featuring photos that further explored the theme of the black box-as well as a self-portrait of me and my black box are presented in this section.
